Lunch was at thanying express with paul, shermin and st. I went to collect a frappucino rhumba after that. Last day today! But shermin didn't bring her matric card. Pity.

I don't believe this haha st and I actually went into the Steinway and Sons showroom at taka. I had passed by it several times but never thought I would enter it. We had the intention of trying it out, but then decided not to in the end, since we're not buying. Then we went into the kawai showroom on the same floor. kaoz I think we really fooled the salesperson into thinking that we're seriously interested in buying! Professional actors lor haha. But the guy was patient, mebbe even a little scared cos we kept asking him technical details. Cleared my doubts about pianos. Apparently cristofori is very low quality cos all the parts are made and assembled in china. Know I know. But mine is a very sharp sounding yamaha. Anyway I seldom play nowadays.

Then I went to the ddp warehouse sale with ivan, hope, andre and george. I had expected a wider assortment of clothes. Didn't get anything there.

Thanks to yiqing again =) We went to town in her car after much unnecessary deliberation. Juz found out that parking your car at the anguila park estate is virtually foc. Muz be prepared to walk some distance, but it's still not very far. Had lunch, then victor and kim joined us at lido. They suggested watching Kill Bill 2 but we haven't decided yet, and since it was still early we went to paragon starbucks first to collect free coffee. Haha it's free. Why not? Oh ya. The offer is ending soon - in 2 days' time I think. 5 out of 6 of us were drinking frappucino rhumba! And we were walking in one big horde, all drinking at the same time. Wonder wat people muz have thought. Went to cineleisure to check the timings for Into the Mirror, but I think we settled for Kill Bill 2 in the end, even though none of us watched part 1.

Walked back to lido, bought the tickets, then sat down and chatted for 45 minutes. The movie: we agreed it was cheap thrill hah. Entertaining with the comical scenes, especially of master bai mei. I thought he looked quite familiar, acted in many hk dramas before. I couldn't catch his cantonese la, had to rely on the subtitles. Some parts were quite draggy, as though it was purposely made so to lengthen the screening time; other parts were simply lame. But it was still entertaining.

After the movie we went to ddp sale at scotts. Managed to find 3 bottoms which were worth buying. Where else can you find such prices in s'pore? haha. My anat group people had dinner at scotts. Sorry guys.. didn't join you. Had dinner with yiqing, ht and ivan at far east. When we left it was pouring le.. that ivan slipped lor. He actually left one of his slippers on the other side of the road. Kaoz.. lucky no bones were broken.

I finally got down to blogging. Wats happened lately: on Friday we went to seletar country club, courtesy of yiqing =) Quite a beautiful place - picturesque landscape, juz overlooking the reservoir, with a golf course and a big swimming pool, and many other facilities like ktv room, arcade, but we didn't get to use them. We played mahjong! At first our table had 2 guys and 3 girls (2 were sharing 1 seat) kaoz cannot play with girls next time lor. They take 3-4 minutes to deliberate over whether they should take a card and over which card to throw. It really slowed down the pace of the game. Sianz. Then halfway the girls switched over and we had all guys. So much better. And faster! We didn't play for long though, cos the girls wanted to bowl. I haven't bowled since December. Lousy score. I didn't even hit 100. I suck la, only managed 1 strike in 2 games. But I'm not a frequent bowler la.

Then at night I visited city harvest church with yh and hope. Before the service started they flashed the front cover of i-weekly featuring Ho Yeow Sun and everyone was applauding. I heard from hope that the previous time he was there they were selling her CDs. Don't think any church should be doing this. They have 14000 members lor, should be the largest church in s'pore. The 3 of us were making our way to our seats, then we suddenly realised that we were in the thick of things, surrounded by people standing in groups of threes speaking so loudly in tongues. The sermon was ok nevertheless. I quite enjoyed it. Oh ya. The church is very rich.

Cheap thrill! I drove yh's car down the multi-storey carpark haha. Cos I have no car of my own to drive. Boo. Yeah story ends there. Hope drove us to geylang for supper. We had to circle the parking lots a few times before we finally found one. He had trouble parallel parking it. A kind soul who was eating even offered to help haha but yh said no thanks, he needs more practice. So eventually he managed to park. We had frog leg porridge and fried oyster. Yum!

Went to yun nan to buy textbooks on Saturday. I was supposed to meet ivan at raffles city, then he was late.. caught in a jam at orchard road. So I walked into op, happened to find a T-shirt I liked and bought it. Muz really save up from now on if I were to have money left to go hk and shop. Yeah hopefully sars won't spread there and spoil our plans, but you never know, there will most probably be huge traffic flow between china and hk on labour day. Met a couple of med students there. Auntie Cynthia was so loquacious. She had a lot of advice for us but since wat she knows is merely wat she hears from med students (batch after batch of seniors) in the first place, it's better to juz listen and decide for yourself.

Went to bugis junction after that. 93.3 were having some event there. Saw ma li and another male dj, but I don't know who. She looked the same as on screen juz that she wore very thick make-up that day. Met weizhang there. Then we had a late lunch.

Monday was results day. Frankly, I was neither looking forward to nor dreading it. I don't fancy the idea of checking results online but wat the heck, nus wants us to. Was pleasantly surprised when I checked, cos I was expecting 3 Bs but I did better than that! So all the mugging until 4 plus am before the paper started at 9 am paid off.. but I would want to avoid doing that the next time lah. Muz really thank my pals for mugging together in the library. Yeah, I couldn't have done it alone. Thanks guys =)

After the talk I went to crystal jade seafood kitchen at holland v for lunch with timo, wl and shuwei. Yeah wl treated us to sakae sushi and swenson's before, so I muz dong de zuo ren right? ha. Then went to funan centre to shop for a digital cam. Not a good place to buy cameras cos most of the shops are small and they don't have any promotions now. The salesman we spoke to didn't know his stuff and wasn't willing to lower the price or throw in any good deals. Then went to best denki at ps with ivan. Had better luck here. Found a fujifilm A330 3.2 megapix selling for $399 and an A340 4 megapix at $529. The salesman was more helpful this time, told us that most fujifilm cameras can also be used as webcameras and whether optical zoom or digital zoom was better. I should be getting either of these. Hopefully can bargain for more freebies =) We watched 50 first dates. It was a touching show, quite sad, but fortunately for the comical scenes, it wasn't so heavy-going. Hope and wm joined us for dinner at pastamania. Chatted for quite long. Tired out.

Today's lecture on good clinical practice was boring. Relevant to our future practice but irrelevant to ssm. The lecturer's French accent was noticeably minimal but still there haha. They juz can't pronounce 'r' properly. There's part 2 tomorrow.. sheesh. Juz heard from shuhui that about half the junior class got medicine interviews. Some didn't get in. I would help if I could, but I can't. Haiz.

So elvin, yeebo.. ONz ah. One weekend we find enough people then go jb!

Bought a pharmacology textbook and a few notes that were really cheap today. wl, shuwei and I sort of spread out wat notes to buy then we will circulate among ourselves. Great! Haha after that fiddled a bit with nataliez's laptop. I'm quite a laptop idiot lor.. but still managed to confound rayzor. Had another dose of chen xiao dong and ah niu. yeah we were quite crazy inside the room. Had a good time today. Thanks people!

Went to jb yesterday. eh.. visited all the places jelmer mentioned and pelangi plaza. Things there were really cheap! But eventually I still spent quite a lot of money after converting back to sing dollars. Bought some junk too, mebbe next time when you see me in town you will know wat I bought haha. The taxi drivers there were atrocious. We were fleeced almost every time we took a cab. I think we gave ourselves away that we're s'poreans that's why.

Hey elvin, jelmer, yh, etc.. next time we can go together!!!

Yeah this is another of those post for the sake of posting posts to keep you guys updated. Somehow having read too much medical literature (read: textbooks) has stifled watever creativity left when I use the English Language to blog. Oh my. Oh well. Ciao.

Had lunch at rice table yesterday. The food was ok, but all the dishes were laid out in one long row across the tables so it was quite hard to get anything from the other side. Walked around after that. Then we decided to sing until very late. Haha really late! Yeah next time can't be so siao cos there's no transport home! I thought there was night rider but there wasn't, and in the end I had to take a cab home. On Monday night k-box waives the surcharge for members, so we only had to pay for the drinks and snacks. Quite worth it actually! Considering that we stayed there for 6 plus hours. Sheer madness ahaha but as usual it was shuang! When we leaving the guy even asked why we were not staying until 3 am when it closes. Oh my.

I was supposed to exercise today but I seriously needed to sleep in after last night, and anyway timo was already on his way to JE when I woke up. So I slacked at home. Heard that woo juz came back this morning.. wanted to go out but those 2 westies were lazy to get out of their house. Juz as well. I needed to get the somanassa work done. Spent the entire afternoon ploughing through the online yellow pages. To my dismay I only managed to find one manufacturer for rubber boots and none for condoms. Then chee wai messaged to say we should ask for 500 instead of 200. Great lor.. I'll be happy if juz one out of the few companies I'm going to call agrees to sponsor. Cannot. Muz search for more companies. My luck was better with yahoo.com.sg. Now the phone calls.

I finally got down to terminating the saf aviva policy. Yeah, before the monthly deductions bleed my bank account dry.

Have a rough idea of where to walk around jb after asking jelmer juz now. Probably the others have their own plans? Dunno.

I bought a T-shirt yesterday. But that's all. Didn't spree. I intended to get a digital cam after I passed my driving test but looks like I have to shelve the idea until I've saved up enough. diving course? buffet? I dunno. A lot of plans but ack. I need money.

Blasted away at the ktv again! Haha we really zhuan dao.. paid for 2 hours but lingered for 1 more hour after time was up. This time when I sang zhui in cantonese it was better! with a lot of help la. I juz adore chen xiao dong's songs but his voice is always too high for me. Too bad la.. Tried some new songs too! It was a great session la.

I went down to nus today for a somanassa meeting. was glad to see familiar faces when I arrived haha kaoz.. normally when I meet a somanassa group for the first time I won't know anyone there. Cos I joined alone. Actually had the intention of going to Myanmar when I joined but now I'm not so sure. My interest sort of waned.. guess you can say that I'm not steadfast enough. Not willing to commit. Same reason why I didn't join alumni choir. I like to sing but I dun like to use my dan tian. It's not the cost factor cos they managed to get enough subsidy so everyone only has to come up with $400 at most, which is reasonable. Ya. So I admire people who are truly keen on going. The meeting was unnecessary la I felt. kaoz.. made me come all the way to nus juz for a 20 min meeting. Same thing as last time.. have to ring up companies to ask for donations. No one wanted to call up condom manufacturers lor.. then wat to do.. I volunteered lor. Very funny juz now. Everyone who was supposed to come came, then chee wai asked wat about Jennifer. Haha and he was sitting right in front of sijin. Sheesh.

Took the train down with the 2 elros girls. They were going to town for "tea".. jiat kopi la! screw class! Spoke to antonia who kept saying she muz go on a holiday cos it's the last time we'll ever get a long break. I also know that.. Haiz. Heard that she also failed her driving once. Why is it so hard to hear of first time passers nowadays? I know of people, but very few. Seriously, I think it's to do with whether your instructor is good or not. eh pal.. you better pass your evaluation and pass your test first time. Screw your kim mor instructor la.

When I got home I wanted to nap but I was too restless. Then I followed my parents to my aunt's place to collect my shoes. My cousin can get asics shoes at a cheap price from his colleague la, so I asked him to choose one pair for me. The colour is ok I guess, easy to match with clothes. Now muz string the lace.

Had a novel experience today. Went to new cre's praise and worship session at indoor stadium. Not bad. Felt quite out of place actually, but I expected that before I went. It's not my first la.. I've been to many, mostly to accompany my aunts who are Christians. Today's one was very energetic, almost like a mini-concert. The pastor was very powerful and effective. The church is huge.. Met yh there. And my bum still hurts.

After that went for supper. Only yeelin and Jason. Ya Jason got his car already. yeelin only has 2 more papers left.. gambate! Chatted. Interesting stories. Heh.

Ah.. already 2. That time I was mugging hours before the paper I told myself I would never sleep late again. Now it's so ironic. Juz feel like staying up late and waking up early. I'm tired.. I've been patient, I've bent myself over until my back is broken, I've been nice. Some people are assholes. Ok. I'm one myself. But please.. nice doesn't mean you can take advantage of me. bend myself doesn't mean you can keep asking for more. patience is running thin. right I'm getting incoherent. Haiz. I may juz let it be.

I realise I can recognise fan ti zi when I see the words, but I can't write out. Is this the effect of too much ktv? hahaha. Oh ya. There's a loophole in the pricing system. That day at the supermarket one bottle of water cost 38 cents. If you buy one you only pay 35 cents. But I bought 2 together and had to pay 75 cents. If I had bought them separately I only pay 70 cents.

I received a friendster message from Licia. haha. I dun even know her, but I know she's Justin's gf. Anyway she's very sweet, she's trying to organise a surprise birthday party for him and she actually messaged everyone on Justin's friendster list to invite them to come.. and also to help out la. Wat a thoughtful gesture! I'm sure he would be very touched=)

Went to east coast today to cycle! In my favourite pe shirt haha, very soft and comfy I have an urge to wear it to sleep now. I reached parkway late cos I misjudged the time. 196 takes way too long. 197 is faster. Then we were talking about tim's viva. Hope he did well la. Went to mingchang's place to deposit our bags. His flat is juz next to one of the underpasses to east coast. How convenient is that! Reminds me of the time when we went with eugene a long time ago. His grandpa's flat was also in that area. Nice sea view. Wah.. really worked my quads today cos we cycled from end to end. I'm quite familiar with the route going up, but it was the first time I cycled to the end of the route going down. Didn't really reach the end cos the track was undergoing some renovation. My bum is sore.. had to keep shifting my weight from my left bum to my right bum, and back again, after 2 hours of cycling. Haha.

Had dinner at siam kitchen at parkway. The food wasn't that good. The waiter muz have thought we were trying to be difficult cos we changed glass noodles from the menu to rice noodles, and rice noodles to glass noodles. I didn't want glass noodles cos it's juz like tang hoon, but the rice noodles that I had wasn't that fantastic either. In the end I was still hungry and had to get more food.

I'm emanating heat now. I asked for it. Spent so many hours in the pool. Ouch. I managed to pick up interesting things about the Passion of the Christ.. Oh. So death by crucifixion is actually death from hypovolemic shock.. and normal people take 18 hours to bleed to death from the big holes they make with the nails, but Jesus took only 9 hours becos he lost a lot of blood before that. The roman official is called Pontius Pilate. Ah. I'm slow.. heard of him before but I never bothered to find out who he was. A cock was supposed to crow after Peter denied Jesus 3 times, then he would be reminded of it, but we agreed that for cinematic sake they didn't show that.

The pool itself was interesting. Got one-armed bandit and the butterfly effect haha..all regulars.

Cuppage

Had lunch with the girls today. Talked about our holiday plans. Seems that all of them are going overseas, one of them probably even to 2 places. Lucky gals.. but after all, this would be our last long holiday. Chatted quite a bit before finally leaving. Wat to do next? Haha ktv. My 4th time this week. Ya when I told elvin that, he was stunned la haha.. said he had only been there once. But at least everytime it's with different people. Went to k-box to check out the prices. $22 per person.. definitely not. We're not some ignorant consumers for them to fleece. Then we went to cuppage. $11.50. Almost half the price! But I learnt that cheap things are lousy.. tolerable but lousy. The room was so smoky we had to ask them to spray some air freshener, and the mike took up a lot of feedback it made singing a challenge. I can conclude that my favourite mtv is the di yi ci one by guang liang =) Especially the last part after the song ends where they shout across the road. Gives people that warm and fuzzy feeling haha. Sheesh. Today I attempted zhang guo rong's zhui in cantonese! With some help from shermin.

Went to yishun to watch the prince and me. The usual romantic movie, nothing special, juz that it kept making me anticipate when and where they would do it. In the barn? No, in the library!

Hope suddenly said he had spare tickets to Passion of the Christ, so I said ok. It was a church event, and his church block booked the cinema. Met anin on train.. blind.. when I boarded the train it was quite crowded so I stood in front of the door, not realising that she was juz on my left haha. On the way to suntec The Wedding Planner was giving out roses to publicise itself. Anin got one.

I watched with Kim and junrong. Ya.. he looks the same as the photos. Had to pick up RAI so he was slightly late. It was quite good, very touching, especially the crucifixion where they were driving nails into Jesus' hands and feet and he was asking God to forgive them for doing so. Kim was sobbing. And so were most of the other girls in the cinema.

Elvin yio suddenly said he had 4 free tickets to centro, from his junior. Wah.. centro. Never been there before, some more now exams are over, can let my hair down a little, and most importantly.. they're FREE! No particular occasion la, juz some dj from France. But I didn't go.. sigh. How could I have gone in specs, mambo T-shirt, and carrying a bag.. definitely not! Dun want to look so out of place there. gh also didn't want to go. So elvin was busy mass messaging trying to look for people to go.. in the end he gave 2 away and went with a friend la. Never mind. Next time got chance.

Met hope after he passed his driving test =) Had lunch at suntec, then went to orchard. He joined his anat group for ktv. Bored.. then I called ivan. He juz had his driving lesson. Good timing.. so he joined me at orchard. ivan you're the best! Then we went trimming, shopping, singing.. My second singing session this week, going to have another one tmr. I think it's very shuang when you blast away at the high notes even if you can't reach them! Tried a hokkien song by andy lau but I couldn't translate the lyrics on the spot. And we were in a .. precarious situation..

Everyone's talking about vivas. I didn't get any for anat, happy enough. My friend has distinction vivas for all 4 subjects. Proud of her =)

I had a good long rest yesterday. Sleep is such a luxury =) Must find something to keep myself occupied now.. I think the js class outing didn't materialise. It was juz horrible timing..good..means there will be one coming up. Hmm. So wat if I'm free now. Other people aren't and this means no meeting up, no going out together, no doing a lot of things. Am I going to become a loner. Wtf alvin. Hey I suddenly remembered that I sorta owe someone a movie, thanks to some unfortunate slip of the finger by someone else.. Slack today. Start being productive tomorrow.

Had a good browse through many blogs. Elvin.. your page is the best la.. nice can. Boosted your ego? =] Noticed that there are people who browse other people's blogs, then make niao comments about others on their own. Have some courtesy mah. It's a .. colourful? world out here haha.

Yup. Exams finally over. Short and swift battle. Juz hope that the aftermath will not be too devastating for me to handle. Should be ok.. can pass =) Was quite lucky.. cos I listened to wanyi and followed Prof's tips faithfully. Haha so anat wasn't that bad. But biochem I wacked carelessly. Sheesh. Sacrificed lotsa sleep this past week, used to hear that sleep debts have to be repaid. I juz wonder if you dun repay then wat will happen? So far nothing la. cos I always repay hehe. I must praise my pdp tutor again.. cos I wrote down exactly wat he said during pdp on my answer script juz now! It's nothing much, juz a general statement but it sounds so seh I juz had to WRITE IT DOWN. Look at the title. At the very least can impress the marker mah! Amazing how much I learnt and remembered from the few pdp sessions with him.

I think I looked a total wreck today. My hair was in its worst state, eyelids so heavy, all the result of last night's to this morning's mugging. Argh. Never again.

After that, went to partyworld ktv at clementi with ivan, qich, sj and ht. Not a bad session heh!

Juz listened to lu qiao yin's song on 93.3. Duet with somebody. Nice.

This is it.. wat a mess I've gotten myself into for not having been consistent. Already midnight and I still have like 4 topics to go? See... why didn't I make notes earlier.
