Fish Leong sitting. On the way to suntec 2 sundays ago I saw someone holding a placard saying she was at marina square, then when we went to look we couldn't find her. Turned out that it was some slimming centre event and she was sitting down there.. of course can't find lah. We almost proposed using a fishing rod to lure her out.

Rest is a luxury
Ah. Finally a week of rest. Went to watch I, Robot with victor on monday. Good movie. Never a boring moment. Will Smith is smooth. Someone is talking. Will Smith sneezes, then says, "I'm allergic to bullshit." Quite cool eh.
Watched house of flying daggers with sq juz now. Quite boring.. Zhang Yimou overdid it, resulting in a thin plot. But takeshi was good.
Juz now was funny! I sneaked food inside the cinema.. really no skill, the guy came looking for us in the cinema after we ran in while he went toilet. But of course he didn't find us. Wonder who set the rule that we can't bring outside food in. See, we can still sneak.
We had a small gathering of sorts at Keith's place. It was quite last minute.. and I had to do a rushing act again. Suddenly everything seemed so familiar again.. jl, peter, yh, michael, yq.. kaoz yq sounds the same, walks the same, laughs the same. The familiarity is comforting. Didn't really talk much, though I would have wanted to =) Hope there'll be other chances next time, cos such meetings would get rarer. Next year people will be flying all over. Down under, la France.. I might not feel anything now, but I guess when it comes to that, I won't feel very good.
Not forgetting my jc classmates who are going to the States.
Miss Teo came too. So polite some more, came with a bouquet of flowers.
I'm perturbed. It's something I've been trying to grapple with. I'm spending too much time on things which are trivial and don't matter. Doing too many things not for my own sake. Where's the meaning then? Not doing enough on those that really matter, that I'm concerned about. Why am I so freaking passive? I wonder if this is a problem with priorities. Or simply lack of sense. Cos I can be so freaking stubborn and stupid. Apathy is the word. Can't be bothered, even when it's important to me.
Went to NUH yesterday to visit Keith. Poor guy. Get well soon! Don't be lazy. Go for your physiotherapy sessions. I think after I went elvin, simon and jx went.. but I had a tuition lesson. Too bad.
Celebrated ht's bday today. Surprise at hl's place. Haha the surprise was quite a successful one =]
Tired. I feel damn lethargic.. wonder why. It is becos term is starting very soon.. sian. Heard that the new M1s will come next week, and the OGLs have to do this and that with them. Arghz. I'm bad at all this.
Medicamp
Went to medicamp from monday to thursday morning. Freaking tired on thurs that I went home and slept like a log. Woke up at midnight. Then went back to sleep again until 7 this morning. Wow. I actually skipped yesterday's lunch and dinner.
The camp was fun. I think our OG's members are more enthusiastic than the OGLs, which is a good thing. Dunno which idiot suggested the name Charlemagne. Mouthful, hard to pronounce - we knew how to pronounce, but everyone else couldn't, and we were tired of correcting them. First day we made a flag. Ran out of ideas, then mark was wearing an ape t-shirt, so they conveniently used that on the flag. Ah.. Monkeys was easier to say than Charlemagne.
Had stage games at night. they were looking for the sharpest scream. Daphne moo couldn't scream.. damn funny.
The games were dirty. Flour, eggs, ketchup were the culprit. Disgusting also, have to pass toothpaste down the line using different body parts, and the last one is from a girl's lips to a guy's belly button. Hahaha.. gross. Have to dip your head into a pail of dirty water and wring water from your hair into another pail. Mop. And captain's cabbage. After a while the cabbage disappeared from too much smashing.
Fright Night
I didn't have a role on fright night. So I became a wandering ghost. Sucks la.. cos I didn't bring long black pants. So I looked quite funny. My makeup was not bad. White face, black eye rings, blood from the orifices. But I think 6 people I was trying to scare could recognise me, and they were more amused than scared.
Peilin was in a cloak and carrying a candle. Scary! With her cold stare and lighted candle. Then wenkai, jamie and us were in the park when we saw someone walking towards us. Peilin lit her candle, then wenkai hid behind the tree and screamed. Then we realised it was juz a passer-by, not M1. Freak! Oops.
Cheesie was in hello kitty pyjamas. We were walking in the park when a police car drove past. Wah.. does the police get called up every year?
The tunnel was supposed to be pitch black. I didn't go in though. Jerry was one of the ghosts inside, then wenyang entered. Kicked jerry a few times, then jerry tried to grab his crotch. Hilarious. Of course wenyang guarded himself.
The park was boring. So I went back in. Went to the 3rd storey where all the female ghosts were. Sian. A wandering ghost is supposed to wander.. but walking about is tiring. Finally ended. I think one of our OG girls was so scared that she was hyperventilating, then another went home after 2 stations, but the rest were not scared.. more amused =p
Sentosa
I can't remember my last time there. We went to palawan beach. Supposed to play games before lunch but they didn't have enough time, so in the end we played frisbee - rugby style. The games after lunch were not bad. And we kept facing Tessio. Every time they chanted "you qing di yi, bi sai di er" we would cheer back "bi sai di yi, you qing di er" And becos of them we had to do muah chee. Muah chee, if you know wad it looks like, is a forfeit. Have to get yourself wet, roll on the sand, then into the water. Ok, at least it's clean fun. The sentosa sun was hot.. I got slight sunburn on my forehead and nose.
Campfire
Quite draggy. And I still dunno who won the best skit. The guys were supposed to come up with a pick-up line. Then we remembered jun can's line on guess^3! Those who watched that episode would know.. it's saccharine. Told mark, but he thought of his own line liao. I'm sure they would be impressed if he used that line =)
After that we played games through the night. Murderer, polar bear and hunter, pass the coin, mind games.
Tried the tortilla bowl meal at pizza hut juz now with sy and yl. It sucks. Serving size too small also. One thing I have to gripe about is the serving size, cos I hate it when I'm still not full after a meal. Good that everything at breadtalk was selling for only $1 today.
It was the second time this week that my handphone woke me up. This time was bad news..
It's over
I dunno how to start, but this win has made me very happy. Euphoric even. When they won juz now, I was happier than I had been 2 years back for our team, happier than winning score/strike or passing my driving test. This is a slightly different kinda joy.. not for myself, but for them. It's been a long while since I've experienced something like this. Truly, sheer joy for others.

I wonder if this is how teachers feel when they see their students do well in exams. If it is, then perhaps it's true when they say that teaching is a rewarding career. But they deserved to win. The last 3 days before the quiz we really pushed them. Until yijin called and asked if they can stop practising the buzzers yesterday cos they were quite stressed. Oops. But mugging is surely stressful wad, juz think back after everything and it will be worth it. It is eh =p I had to mug too wad.

This fella is so zai.. individual champion. He's also reckless, and amusingly cocky. Way to go man.
Rite. The first time they used the lifeline it was ok. The second time was unnerving. Cos the 3 of us weren't certain. In the end we managed to pull it through anyway. Relief.
I did surveying today. The person in charge, Sallie, was super nice! Kept telling me you can do it, if you face any problems, and want to vent your grouses, juz give me a call.. haa and mebbe after her encouragement I can do better. No need for that, cos so far it was ok. The survey itself is easy, juz have to tick away. Had trouble asking them to leave their contact numbers but at least they were willing to leave their email. Some questions I got:
"How old are you?"
"Are you poly student?"
"Are you a financial adviser?"
"Can I have your namecard please?"
Haa professional sia. 2 people even thought I was working as a financial adviser. The briefing by Sallie was useful, Financial Advisers Act by MAS in October 2002, exempted consultants, licensed consultants, etc.. Hope it gets better.

Nothing much going on here.. duty calls, and when arrows fly all over the place, it's hard not to get hit. Not that I'm complaining, cos I'm quite free anyway. Obligations..
Got a survey job assignment next week, it's a one-off thing, 4 sessions altogether. Almost thought that I wouldn't get it cos I went to the interview in a polo tee and jeans, and I didn't know that the company was an established finance company. Should have gone in formal wear.
Heard of this Food On Legs game by nvac. Sounds interesting.. something like the amazing race.
