Not a bad weekend

It's been quite a weekend. And seriously, after all this playing I better concentrate on the tests coming up.

Why this weekend wasn't so bad despite being in a perpetual sleep-deprived state:

1. I had a good laugh over dodgeball on fri. Didn't think I would like it, but I enjoyed it in the end. It shows how versatile Ben Stiller is. He's juz good! You won't see him behaving like this in duplex or along came polly.

2. I did surface 180 on the water on sat. Managed to get it first time, though the 2nd attempt was a disaster.

3. I completed AHM! the full 21 km!.. that's a personal achievement. I ran the first 12 km without stopping, but after that my legs couldn't take it. Not accustomed. Why? Cos I was too lazy to train. Crazy eh. Now I walk as though I have a limp.

4. I went to wooden boat restaurant last night. yeah.. instead of resting more after the run, I slept for one and a half hour then went for tuition, instead of going home after tuition, I went out. But I'm glad I went, cos I've never been to a ming ge can ting before. A relaxed atmosphere with nice singing.

I feel at peace.

Interdiction de courir

Ender m'a donné l'idée de faire ça..

l'affiche du film

M. Mathieu et le petit Pépinot!

Quelle musique touchante..

Morhange, qui avait un visage angélique et un voix qui faisait fondre en larmes.

En larmes..

We celebrated Ivan's bday in sch, then went to watch Les Choristes. The boys' voices are astounding! Especially Morhange's.. if only I had such a voice. My range is low and my falsetto sucks. I need to build up range. This film is touching. It speaks of how everybody has his own talent, and all he needs is a mentor to guide him. Rather inspirational for teachers-to-be.

Happy birthday Ivan!

MAF

Yesterday was maf! The last maf as HCJC. Met for dinner, then went back together in dev's car. Turnout for our class was still fine, though not as good as last year. This year the general feeling was muted and the atmosphere not as rousing. But who bothers to watch the programme anyway, I was mostly chatting and catching up with people. We met Miss Ooi, who was asking if anyone was interested to go to church on sunday.

The one and only terence tham went too.. so ONz! some of their bmt section mates came together. Also saw kailin there with her family.

Can expect fewer people to go back next year after they ord and start to fly off all over the place. If a batch of students graduate every year, then there should be more and more people returning every year. But that isn't the case. Muz be becos of the generation differences =p

Went to play pool after that, then had supper at maxwell road. We all had porridge. I can't stand the uncle at the stall - he's so niang! Haha oops. Anyway I juz discovered that the area behind chinatown has quite a few prominent gay bars. So we drove through the area out of curiosity. According to eugene some of them have flags outside. (Flags?!! they think they are amazing race??) Then went to zhewei's place for mahjong. Juz knew that zhewei's also learning wakeboarding at punggol. Pity he's leaving in 2 weeks' time.

Running AHM next week. Prolly gonna die halfway but in the words of terence, there's always a first time.

Contrary to what I had thought, this week has been a long week, despite a day off on wed. Last night's sleep wasn't enough to repay the sleep debt I accumulated. It's clockwork. No time to pause and reflect or think. No space for the soul. Seems that nowadays it's only during the weekends that I have time to rest and reflect. It's a cycle of studying, sleeping and giving tuition. Not that I managed to study a lot also.

My monday nights are always wasted in front of the tv watching Friends and extreme makeover. It's ending.. sure, can always go and download the series but it takes away the fun. Then the withdrawal symptoms would come, like after qian nu you hun, nan qin nu ai, meteor garden and love generation ended. wateva. nothing to look forward to now. If I don't shag myself out on tues I can still stay up for guess^3. Other than that, no more tv for the week. This wed was off wooo! Watched bourne supremacy.

This is hilarious. I'm destined to kena pharmaco presentation. I'm think I'm innately SWAY. The story goes: jerry swapped with weiliang. So weiliang had to take jerry's place. But on that day itself weiliang wanted to swap again, so I agreed. Then jerry's name was highlighted on the screen. wtf, I tot, if only I hadn't changed with weiliang. As it turned out, yesterday when weiliang took my place, my name was highlighted and so he kena the presentation too. wateva. jerry is damn HENG. And I had to do presentation whether I swapped with weiliang or not.

Went to kallang to wakeboard today. Ended up with a burnt face, a cut on my left foot, and tired arms. 2nd session was a lot better after my posture was corrected. There was this 18 year old new zealander who's damn good. He could do 10 inverts effortlessly. I think I juz aim for a small jump for a start.

Then went to watch the terminal at J8. Haa this time I remembered to keep our snacks and drinks in my bag before going in. Don't wanna have to run in again like last time! It's a no brainer movie..quite light hearted. It's about waiting. One reason I hate the fking army is we rush to wait and wait to rush. Some things never change.

I want more hours in a day. I don't want to rush. I want to be in control. I don't want to be kept in the dark. I don't like people who are manipulative. I like them to be sincere.

I juz need to sleep.
