How very bad of me.. actually went to k-box with gh yesterday! When I should be studying hard in the library.. Argh. But I wanted to cheer him up la.. think he must have been feeling quite depressed these days ever since his recent disappointment. And the physio ca results were out today. My worst ever.. barely scraped through. Cannot.. I must do something.

Juz came back from watching Beyond Borders with Ivan. I was supposed to sell tickets.. but I couldn't sell any! In the end I felt obliged to buy one myself. Most people had either gone to watch Big Fish already, or they weren't free tonight, or simply weren't interested. But the eventual turnout wasn't so bad. Almost all the $12 seats were taken. The movie had poignant moments.. peppered with outbursts of "f". Lolz not that I mind, but in front of the ambassador of cambodia? Haha. Oh and I wonder wat he muz have been thinking when cambodia was described as a corrupt country.. haa.

Today on the feedback form I wrote "Dr Ivor Lim is fantastic." Haha really.. he's such a colourful person and mentor that I felt he deserved a mention. Too bad we juz had our last pdp with him.

Went back to hc today. This session lasted very long.. we were chased out of the LT by the security guard who was so hostile. He threatened to "cut off the electricity in 5 minutes" if we don't leave soon.

On the train back, there was this girl who was crying on her phone. At first it was just a whimper and I didn't notice, then it got louder. But somebody did something dat was quite out of the ordinary. When the doors opened, this guy sitting across gave her a packet of tissue before alighting. But she didn't take any heed, continued sobbing on the phone.. then she finally alighted, she started shouting on the phone and I was sure she was berating and swearing at the person.. oh my. Not a very nice sight.

Ca8 was screwed up. Oh my. 1st thing andrew and I said to each other in the toilet after the test was f. Blame myself for not having studied the blood topic which did come out. If I thought I had done well for ca7, ca8 would have negated it. Then the professors decided to try something new and they went through the answers immediately after the test.. Anyway, it's over. Relief.

After dat went to Bodyworlds for the 2nd time, really think hc should reimburse us. Brought the mediquizzers there and we were trying to explain as much as we can to them. Hope it was a useful session cos we all skipped lunch! I had breakfast at 8 plus in the morning den dinner at 7 plus at night.. kaoz was so hungry the entire afternoon. They had a new exhibit.. a camel. (Haa so effectively I spent $9 to see the camel) I realised dat I forgot a lot of things le. Managed to explain the head, pelvis, abdomen and thorax but couldn't explain the limbs well enough to them. I felt so inadequate, had to say, "Sorry, I can't remember" to their questions.. probably an indication dat I should be starting my revision soon?

Went to elvin's place at night, with yh, yb, jx and peter. Watched peter's nspi course video.. actually quite fun! They had night cycling, trekking, kayaking, camping at the islands, went obs and went to watch home united play in a soccer match! I think they trekked all over singapore.. once from the police academy to fullerton hotel. Wat a good way to serve ns! Envious. Played mahjong. Bet on push-ups haa. Slept at 4 am, den woke up at 8 and continued playing. This time we bet on roti prata. I lost over 40 pratas to them.. haha. Then we went to eat prata. I was so tired after dat I went home and slept.

Pdp

Had pdp on saturday. We had a diabetic patient who had the terminal phalanx of his right middle finger amputated. The important thing was: Only the terminal phalanx was amputated and not anything more. Apparently this patient's diabetes was under control until he stopped his medication (wrong thing to do) 2 years back. Then, his illness grew grossly out of control. He had a cut on his finger and it got infected; it was so bad dat his entire hand and arm were swollen! He went to sgh and the doctors there wanted to amputate his entire finger.. of course he refused. Lucky he did, cos when he came to nuh and got my pdp doctor, at least he had his proximal and middle phalanges preserved. Hmm.. it confirms dat before you attempt any surgery it is better to get a 2nd opinion.

I'm impressed by our pdp doctor. He seems to be well-versed in a lot of things hehe so when sijin told me she felt so ignorant when our doctor was speaking to us I agreed with her. He mentioned quite a few diseases whose names sounded so foreign dat I couldn't remember them.. and he also knows a great deal about cuisine, literature... Oh my. So doctors need not be boring people who only know how to prescribe medicine =)

Yup. In the library, since I didn't want to come down to nus juz for 1.5 hour of pdp. I dunno whether it was a fruitful session cos I kept dozing off every hour. Then at around 5 pm this girl sitting behind me received a phone call. Haha.. not my fault dat I listened to wat she was saying.. she was loud enough for me to hear. Hmm.. she was pissed at the caller for not turning up at 5.. normally I wouldn't be concerned with such things hehe but she was at it for about 20 minutes.. distracted me la. So I went to chat with hope and andre.. haha

Zero studying

I did zero studying yesterday, was downloading lecture notes and preparing my pbl. Evening came quite quickly, then I went to shuhui's place.. nice girl.. invited the seniors as well.. thanks a lot! But only shengyong, jason, joseph, matthew and me went. Enjoyed the food, cards and mahjong. Today went to seoul garden with yh, elvin and keith. Haha all the fuss about the avian flu didn't seem to affect me.. I still attacked all the chicken there.

Juz finished printing all the lecture notes for the week.. something I seriously abhor.
