Woohoo! Finally passed driving! My 2nd attempt. Much better than my 1st. But no car to drive. Anyway, I'm still contented juz to have that licence! Yesterday it was raining the entire day. Started raining at about 11 at my place. Even today's drizzle was from yesterday's downpour. Sianz. I was hoping for the rain to stop or at least subside before my test. But it didn't! Kaoz.. it got heavier. I was slightly late for my warm-up lesson. The instructor was quite encouraging, but my test car wasn't. Perhaps it was the rain. Andy told me before to try to dry my shoes before getting into the car if it rains, so that I won't slip on the pedals. But cannot la. There was this big puddle of water beside the car door. When I got on the road, I found out that the steering wheel was skewed - to keep the car straight I had to turn it slightly to the right. So I told my instructor, but he juz smiled. Hmm.. wat help is a smile to me?

After that I went to the 2nd storey. Reminiscent of the previous time I took the test.. didn't expect to see the testers playing table-tennis inside the room. And then one of them actually walked out of the room in a singlet and suspenders. I went inside and I got test route 9. Haha was quite glad cos it was a bukit batok route and not a teck whye one. This time I didn't strike kerb in circuit! Haha no points in the circuit. But I had e-brake. Sheesh didn't really expect an e-brake la, cos I thought since it was raining it would be quite dangerous to have e-brake. So I juz slammed on the brakes. Didn't clutch in fast enough and the engine stalled. But no points for that =p The road was fine as well, but becos it was raining I couldn't see the side mirrors clearly so had to physically turn my head behind to check. Apparently this didn't go well with the tester.. said I took too long in checking. Ya. I made other mistakes like turning too fast and moving off too slowly. I checked all my blind spots yesterday! Watever. Still passed! Thanks Andy.

Got to know this girl who also passed. She's very jian tan, can juz find something to talk to easily. Quite an interesting girl, a law graduate from temasek poly, says she adores sentosa (wats this thing with girls and sentosa?) and her dream job would be a zookeeper. Haa so unique. But of course she isn't going to be one. Probably going to be a criminal lawyer. Says the law firm she's working at now is quite adept at helping ah longs have thier charges reduced so that they mostly get away with a mere fine. Then the ah longs would recommend other ah longs to their law firm. Watz this! Ah longs and lawyers becoming so pally! It's nice being acquainted with a future lawyer. Hmm.. we are acquainted with so many people every day. It's wat we make of our experiences with them that determines whether they remain as acquaintances or become good frenz.

Before that I had lunch with my family at soup restaurant. The ginger chicken and winter melon with pork soup were very nice. Yum. Especially the ginger sauce.. I juz kept dipping and dipping. The soup was thick too. Certainly worth the $7. I found out that the dishes were not expensive, it was the tea and 10% service charge dat really added to the cost. The tea was $6! Imagine.. a medium soup was $7 and the tea was only $1 cheaper. Then should have ordered one more soup. Next time when we dine at chinese restaurants we should juz ask for plain water =)

After the test I went to nus to study for spots. Managed to dwell for about 30 minutes in the anat museum before it closed on time. Really. Why can't they extend the hours juz for yesterday? Since I suppose they will hardly get any visitors after today le.. Spots today wasn't too good for me. Didn't manage to identify a lot of structures correctly, or, if I did identify, I didn't answer part B correctly. Sheesh.. I didn't identify phrenic nerve, musculocutaneous nerve, common peroneal nerve, visual cortex in occipital lobe, taste bud slide, etc. The list goes on. Juz hope they would be lenient. It was fun la.. exciting to identify before the bell rings after 45 seconds. Anyway, it's over.

Had lunch at arts canteen with kim, hope and devin. Then went to watch Butterfly Effect with hope. His treat =p Probably not the best movie to watch after spots cos it's thought-provoking, but still enjoyable. Chaos Theory. Butterfly Effect. Marvellous. If you change even the smallest of things, the eventual outcome can be vastly different. Actually I had thought about this before, after watching those back to the future cartoons when i was young. I vaguely remember this cartoon: Someone went back to the dinosaur age and removed a stone, then returned to the future to find that the dinosaurs were still roaming the earth. Can't remember the link. Haha. So everytime we say "If only.." we have to think twice. Would things have been precisely the same if only?

Then walked around orchard and ps. Tired.
